President leads Tree growing exercise in Kuresoi

As is now the norm, all official government functions must be marked by planting of trees as part of the whole government all society approach towards increasing the country’s tree cover to the envisaged 30% by the year 2032. The CCF Mr Alex Lemarkoko was honoured to be part of the His Excellency President William Ruto’s delegation today as he led in the planting of over 5000 trees in Kuresoi North Constituency, Nakuru County during his development tour of the area. The President led in the planting of 250 trees at Baringo Secondary while a further 4,800 trees were planted at the nearby Kuresoi Forest in Kericho County as a way of marking the President’s visit to the area where he had gone to inspect and launch development projects including the construction of Kiambereria-Kuresoi-Chepsir road which passes through Kuresoi Forest. The Principal Secretary State Department of Environment and Climate Change Eng. Festus Ng’eno and the MP for Kuresoi North Hon. Alfred Mutai were also in attendance among other government officers.
