A Clearing-House Mechanism serves to:
1. Promote and facilitate technical and scientific cooperation within and between countries;
2. Develop a global mechanism for exchanging and integrating information on biodiversity, and;
3. Develop a human and technological network.
The work program of the clearing-house mechanism was extended for the period 2021-2030 and to update it in line with the post-2020 global biodiversity framework and relevant decisions, mechanisms, and strategies for adoption by the Conference of the Parties at its sixteenth meeting.
Kenya will collaborate with networks such as the United Nations Information Portal on Multilateral Environmental Agreements (InforMEA) and the Data Reporting Tool for MEAs (DaRT).
