What is the Living Planet Report?
The Living Planet Report (LPR) is a comprehensive study of trends in global biodiversity and the health of the planet. Now in its 15th edition, the report provides a science-led overview of the state of the natural world and includes the Living Planet Index (LPI), which tracks how species populations are faring around the world. This time it reveals a
catastrophic 73% decline in the average size of monitored wildlife populations over just 50 years (1970-2020).
