Environment and Climate Change Principal Secretary Eng Festus K. Ng'eno has today met the Kenyan delegation attending the 26th meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA) of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).

The meeting which runs from 13th to 18th May, 2024 at UNEP headquarters in Nairobi will inform the global review of collective progress in the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) among other interventions.

GBF which was adopted in December 2022 at the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity aims to halt and reverse biodiversity loss by 2030.
