Kenya Forest Service (KFS) continue to coordinate several tree planting activities across the country.
Following the successful National Tree Growing Day led by His Excellency President Dr. William Ruto, the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) has continued to coordinate several tree planting activities across the country.
In the Eastern Conservation Area, a total of 37,867 seedlings have so far been planted, while 34,000 assorted species have been planted in the Central Highlands region.
During the last week, the KFS team at the Coast has planted 29,682 seedlings together with several partners. Meanwhile, 22,600 seedlings were planted in the Western region. Additionally, 1,752, 4,000, and 2,036 seedlings were planted in the Nairobi, Ewaso North, and Nyanza regions, respectively.
The KFS is committed to continuing its tree planting efforts in order to achieve the government's goal of planting 15 billion trees by 2032. Trees are essential for our environment, providing us with clean air, water, and soil. They also help to regulate the climate and protect biodiversity.
If you are interested in getting involved in tree planting, there are many ways to do so. You can contact your local KFS office or join a volunteer group. You can also plant trees in your own backyard or community.
Every tree counts! Let's all work together to make Kenya a greener and healthier place.
