By 2030, ensure gender equality in the implementation of the Framework through a gender-responsive approach, where all women and girls have equal opportunity and capacity to contribute to the three objectives of the Convention including by recognizing their equal rights and access to land and natural resources and their full, equitable, meaningful and informed participation and leadership at all levels of action, engagement, policy and decision-making related to biodiversity
Developing one national target from a global target allows for a more focused and context-specific approach that aligns with the unique challenges, priorities, and capacities of Kenya. This customization ensures that the national target is not only aspirational but also pragmatic and achievable within the given context. Additionally, a single, well-defined national target provides clarity and promotes efficient resource allocation, helping to streamline efforts and achieve tangible outcomes in line with the overarching global agenda
